Pacific Rim Institute High School Senior Photo Session
Photographing High School seniors has to be one of my all time favorite gigs. It is because I love portraits. Pictures of faces is something I could look at all day and the better they are, the more I am gripped. I’m not a fan of shooting highly stylized senior pictures, I prefer to capture the true essence of the individual and create a timeless portrait.
While photographing for Whidbey Life Magazine I discovered the hidden beauty of the Pacific Rim Institute. While shooting, I walked their trails several times over and decided that a portrait session would be so nice. After locating a high school senior who was willing to use the location, we went around evening when the student was finished with sports. We didn’t stay long and what we photographed was really great.
We found several amazing spots that worked out perfectly for what we wanted. The picture of her in her boots while sitting on the chair was a true favorite. The picture feels so fun and youthful while adding that natural rustic lifestyle. My hope is to find more high school seniors who like this venue. There are so many more spots to photograph in and as the year changes, so does the Institute. Ultimately I would love to find a senior to photograph when their prairie is in full bloom. Contact me if this sounds like your kind of session.
